1. What Major/Degree path have you chosen and why?
I chose art and photography, because that was one way I could express myself and use it in a way that tells stories about others. I use my art to bless and communicate to the world around us about who God is or the life experiences people have been through. I knew I wanted to take photographs of people and I wanted to teach others about the neat ways we can be used.

2. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
I want to be working with the college ministry I became involved in during college and taking photographs for weddings.

3. Tells us how the Foundation has made a difference in your life.
Each year I get older I realize more and more how much of a blessing it was to have Hendrick in my life during college. I wouldn’t have been able to go to college and experience what I did without the help of Hendrick. God used my college years to change my life and form me into the adult I am today. I learned how to be a better student, friend, daughter, and disciple while attending college and I am so thankful for everyone at Hendrick who gave me this life changing opportunity. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you all.

4. What are you most proud of?
I am proud of the projects I made during college. They told stories about people that I love or strangers that I was learning to love. Each project meant something special to that person and I ended up giving them the photographs when I was finished. It was really neat to see them be excited about art.

5. Who is the person that you most admire and why?

My sister. She has always been so responsible and taken care of herself. I admire her for working hard even when life was hard, and for taking risks to do what she loves. She has so many interests and her life is full of enjoyment. My sister chose to marry someone she loves, even when he has an illness he will have for the rest of his life. My sister sees past a lot of difficulty and has overcome things that were out of her control.

6. What song do you play the most?
Probably Multiplied by Needtobreathe.

7. If you were to write a book about your life, What would the title be and why?
Speak the Truth in Love. I have worked hard to think better thoughts and not be so anxious about life. I have to speak truths to myself about the world we live in and how God feels about me. I also have worked on speaking kindly to others and telling them about the truths I have learned.
