Scholarship Application


The application period for the 2017 school year is now closed.

Application deadline was March 27, 2017. We look forward to reading applications again in Spring 2018!



Scholarship Eligibility Criteria


We are seeking to come alongside of low income students who persevered to overcome adversity, and who are motivated and academically capable of successfully earning a college degree.


We accept approximately 15 new students each year. 


Students must submit the application form and accompanying documentation, including the essay.


Applicant must:



  • ‚ÄčBe a United States citizen.

  • Be a recent Plano ISD graduate (apply during the last semester of your senior year).

  • Have at least a 2.5 high school GPA.

  • Have financial need which must be documented by providing copies of the parents' tax return, W-2, FAFSA/Student Aid Report, or high school confirmation of eligibility for free or reduced lunch program.

  • Submit an essay describing your adversities, how you have overcome them, and what going to college means to you.

  • Provide reference letters.

Note that you are applying to participate in a program, rather than just receiving a scholarship award.

Applications that are not complete will NOT be considered.


Finalists will be interviewed.


All students who want to receive support services and participate in the program without a scholarship will be accepted. Applicants who apply and are not awarded our scholarships are invited to receive our support services.
