OUR IMPACT

Provide Plano ISD graduates who have overcome adversity with scholarships and support services to promote success in life.

WHO WE HELP

Students who have overcome adversity, struggled to succeed despite their circumstances, and want to change the direction of their lives.

HOW WE DO IT

We provide financial access to a college education through multi-year college scholarships, renewable all the way to a Bachelor's degree.

Since almost all of our students are the first in their families to ever go to college, they are unfamiliar with the culture of higher education so we provide ongoing guidance to help them navigate within the college environment.

We hold our students accountable by requiring them to demonstrate progress by submitting grades and class schedules every semester.

We offer:

•Coaching/Mentoring

•Educational planning

•Career guidance

•Referrals to community resources to assist with meeting basic living needs

•Life skills and personal development workshops

Student Success Committee - A volunteer group comprised of retired educators, business professionals, and staff who are dedicated to supporting all student programs. The Student Success Committee is led by Tom Donaldson, an HSF Board Member.

To date, we have awarded over $1 million in multi -year scholarships to over 300 students.

Beating the odds, nearly 70% of our students will earn a college degree.
