EDUCATION, EQUIP, EMPOWER

The Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, empowers our community's neediest youth to break out of the cycle of poverty by equipping them with a college education. We provide multi-year college scholarships and mentoring to students who persevered through adversity in order to graduate from high school and who dream of going to college.

From Striving to Thriving

Beyond a Scholarship

Being a college student is a challenging undertaking under the best of circumstances. Learning to navigate within the college culture and environment can be confusing and intimidating, especially when you are the first in your family to ever go to college.

Hendrick is more than a scholarship. We provide emotional support and encouragement through our mentoring program. To help our students stay on track in reaching their goals, we offer educational planning and we monitor their progress. Details...

2012 Taste of Elegance
Taste of Elegance

This year our Taste of Elegance fundraiser will be on March 26, 6:00 - 9:00 pm, at the Southfork Ranch. Over a dozen fine dining restaurants will provide samples of favorite menu items in a "taste of" format.

Hate to have to choose which restaurants to try out? You won't have to make a choice at "The Taste" because there will be cuisine ranging from Chinese to Italian to German to French. See the list of participating restaurants.

Exciting news! David McCall will be the Master of Ceremonies and our special guest speaker will be Brian McCall, former Texas state representative and current Chancellor of the Texas State University system.

Last year, we had over 300 guests and this year, we expect to have even more as the word has spread about this great opportunity to "do food and do good."

Mark your calendars and join us!

It Takes A Village
With only 2 part time staff members, our community partners, donors, and volunteers are the ones who make it all happen. You, our Hendrick friends, give our students more than just hope; you are taking concrete actions to change their lives. You are sending them into the college classrooms to which they otherwise would not have had access.

We are grateful for our family of volunteers who serve on our Board, organize fund raisers, come alongside of our students as mentors, and/or provide financial support. They come from all walks of life, including nurses, teachers, business owners, accountants, bankers, and engineers.

Corporate Partner Highlight
