The Hendrick Scholarship Foundation is supported by proceeds from fundraisers and individual donations. ANNUAL EVENTS Hendrick Taste of Elegance Event 2010 Mark your calendars! The next annual "The Event" will be on Monday, March 22, 6:00- 9:00 pm, 2010 at Soutfork Ranch - with a new exciting feature. Over a dozen fine dining restaurants will be providing samplings of their cuisine, showcasing their menus in the Taste of Elegance. Guests will have the opportunity to taste the offerings of some of the best restaurants in north Texas. Auctions and games will round out this evening of fun. Don't miss this unique opportunity! GOLF TOURNAMENT The Plano Rotary Club generously sponsors an annual Golf tournament fundraiser in the Fall, with the proceeds benefiting the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. The 2009 Golf Tournament was on September 14 at the Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club in Fairview. We want to thank our Platinum Sponsors: ViewPoint Bank, Collin College, Xencom! "THE EVENT" Each year we hold a popular fundraiser that over time has come to be known simply as "The Event." This event, which includes dinner and entertainment, has been held at different locations over the years. This year, 2009, it was held on March 9, 6:30pm, Collin College Conference Center, Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas. David McCall was the Master of Ceremonies. As a new feature this year, in addition to dinner, we had a live auction which featured a variety of items, ranging from complete vacation packages to a professional photography service package. Please see The Event page for more details. SPORTING CLAY SHOOT In 2005, we added a Sporting Clay Shoot event for the sporting gun fans. The 2008 Sporting Clay Shoot was held at the Elm Fork Shooting Club in North Dallas. This event is for all ranges of skill. For those who may not have participated in clay shooting before but wanted to learn, we held demonstrations. The 2009 Clay Shoot was on May 8,2009 at the Elm Fork Shooting Range, Dallas. There was a live auction and raffle with great prizes! ADDITIONAL EVENTS/ACTIVITIES Taste of Plano Until 2007, Hendrick had been linked with the Taste Of Plano, Inc. who had graciously donated all ticket proceeds to the Hendrick Foundation. We are currently working with the Taste Of Plano to develop new venue ideas.
